Avi's Pet Door is a temporary, portable pet door panel for a standard sliding glass door, designed for use while you are home with your pet. Please read this page before you install it, and keep the safety card that came in the box.
The pet door opening is large enough for a small child to crawl through.
A child who passes through this opening can reach a swimming pool, a roadway, or other hazards outside your home. Drowning, serious injury or death can result.
- NEVER leave a child unattended in a room where this pet door is installed.
- REMOVE this pet door when children are present in the home.
- DO NOT allow children to play on, in or through the pet door.
The flap is held closed by a magnet only. There is no lock, latch or alarm. While this panel is installed, your sliding door is not secured, and people and animals can enter your home through the opening.
- REMOVE the pet door and lock your sliding door whenever you leave home.
- DO NOT leave the pet door installed overnight or while the home is unoccupied.
- DO NOT rely on this product to secure your home.
For a permanent solution, use a cut-in pet door or a pet door with a locking mechanism.
Before every use
- Confirm all panels are stacked, interlocked and fully seated in the door track.
- Confirm the adjustable top piece is snug against the door frame.
- Do not use if any panel is cracked, bent, warped or missing.
- Do not lean, sit, stand or climb on the pet door.
- Fits standard sliding glass doors 74 in. to 81 in. Do not force it into a door outside this range.
Your pet
- For pets up to 80 lb. The usable flap opening is approximately 16-1/2 in. tall by 10-1/8 in. wide.
- Supervise your pet the first several times it uses the door.
- Make sure the area your pet can reach through the opening is safely and securely enclosed.
- Other animals, including wildlife, can enter through this opening.
Intended use
Avi's Pet Door is not designed or sold for permanent installation, for use as a security barrier, or for use while the home is unoccupied. Using it outside its intended use is unsafe and voids the 12-Month Limited Warranty.
