Warranty
Warrantor: Way of Life LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, d/b/a Avi's Pet Door, 8129 East Vía De Viva, Scottsdale, AZ 85258, United States.
Product covered: the Avi's Pet Door stackable pet door panel and the components supplied with it.
Who is covered: the original purchaser who bought the product from avispetdoor.com or from an authorized reseller. This warranty is not transferable and does not apply to products purchased secondhand.
How long: twelve (12) months from the date the product is delivered to you.
What this warranty covers
Way of Life LLC warrants that, under normal household use and when installed and used as described in the instructions and warnings supplied with the product, the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for twelve (12) months from the date of delivery.
What we will do
If a covered defect appears during the warranty period, we will, at our option and at no charge to you:
- send you a replacement part,
- send you a replacement product, or
- refund the purchase price you paid.
We pay shipping both ways on a valid warranty claim. If we ask you to return the product or a part, we will send you a prepaid shipping label.
A repair, replacement or refund under this warranty does not extend or restart the original twelve-month warranty period.
What this warranty does not cover
This warranty does not cover:
- normal wear and tear, including scuffs, scratches, fading and gradual softening of the flap or foam
- damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, or by pets chewing, scratching or clawing the product
- damage caused by improper installation, by installation in a door outside the stated 74 in. to 81 in. range, or by installation in a door or track the product was not designed for
- damage caused by use outside the product's intended use, including permanent installation, use as a security barrier, or use while the residence is unoccupied
- damage caused by weather, water, freezing, extreme heat, fire, or exposure to solvents or chemicals
- any product that has been modified, altered, repaired or repainted by anyone other than us
- any product purchased from an unauthorized seller
- cosmetic variation in color or finish that does not affect function
- damage to your sliding door, door frame, track, home or property
- shipping damage, which is handled under our Refund and Return Policy rather than this warranty
How to make a warranty claim
Email family@avispetdoor.com with:
- your order number or proof of purchase,
- a description of the problem, and
- photographs showing the defect.
We will respond, usually within one business day, and tell you what happens next. You do not need to return the product before contacting us.
Returns are separate
This warranty is separate from our 30-day return window. If you simply want to send the product back because it did not work out, see our Refund and Return Policy. You do not need a defect to return the product within 30 days of delivery.
Limitation on implied warranties
Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the twelve (12) month duration of this written limited warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
Limitation of remedies
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Way of Life LLC is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use this product, including damage to property. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Your legal rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Important safety note
This product is a temporary pet door panel intended for use while you are home with your pet. It is not a lock, a barrier or a security device, and the opening is large enough for a small child to pass through. Please read the safety information and the warnings supplied with the product before installing it. Using the product outside its intended use voids this warranty and can be dangerous.
